BRIXTON UNITE TO BECOME U12 D2 CHAMPIONS

Brixton Topcats claim their first U12 CBL Championship as Prince Daudu controls the paint and Zion OG powers the offence in a statement team performance.

The Finals didn’t need theatrics. The message was clear.

Brixton Topcats walked into the 2025 CBL U12 Division 2 Finals locked in—and walked out champions, pulling away for a 43–25 win over Brent Panthers that was built on control, toughness, and belief in a season long journey of consistent hard work.

From the jump, Brixton played fast but never rushed. They defended with purpose, moved the ball, and stacked good possessions on top of each other behind the disciplined instruction of head coach and GB Basketball legend Justin Robinson. Every time Brent showed fight—and they did—the Topcats had an answer. A stop. A bucket. A swing pass that cracked the defense. The Panthers competed, but the floor kept shrinking as Brixton dictated the terms.

Zion OG was the engine. Calm with the ball, strong through contact, vocal on defense. His athleticism and driving ability, even at this young age, was as much impactful as it was impressive. His presence showed up everywhere, and by the end of the game, the Finals MVP nod felt inevitable.

Inside, the game changed completely.

Prince Daudu is 11 years old, stands 6’5, and owns a 6’10 wingspan. Let that sit. The paint became his territory. Drives stalled. Layups turned into floaters. Floaters turned into turnovers. Daudu’s length and mobility erased space and confidence, forcing Brent into tough shots all night. Comfortable under pressure and impactful on both ends, he looked like the kind of name you remember years later.

By the fourth, Brixton were not asking questions anymore. They knew what to do and continued to do it, play after play - managing the clock, staying locked in defensively, and ultimately closing the game out with maturity beyond their age. No panic. No lapses. Just championship habits - the Brixton way.

When the final buzzer went off, Brixton Topcats were crowned 2025 CBL U12 Division 2 Champions. Brent Panthers walked off with pride, having battled the whole way, but came up short to a bigger, deeper and more seasoned team this time.

That’s the CBL. Real competition. Real development. And Finals that always leave something behind—long after the lights go off and the season comes to a close.  Definitely some future London basketball stars on the court in this one, who will all look ahead to more success, more improvement and more memories next season and beyond.

We love this game.
