QUICK LOOK

A full-time business course for 16-18 year-olds. Based at the Isleworth campus. Course start date: 01/09/2021. Successful completion of this course will award you with a BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Business.

Mode: Full-Time

This course provides you with an opportunity to gain a broad knowledge of the business sector. The course is equivalent to 2 or 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C and provides you with a good basis to progress to Level 3 or to enter employment.

Successful completion of this course can be positively included as part of your academic entry requirements for US colleges and universities.

For players who are selected to join our academy varsity program (first team), the cost of tuition for this course is FREE.

For players who join our academy development team, there may be a nominal fee of £85 towards the costs of tracksuits and uniforms.

To join our academy, you must first attend a trial to have your basketball technical and athletic ability assessed by our coaching staff.

If you meet the athletic and technical standard required to join our basketball academy, you will need at least 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C / grades 9-4, or a merit or distinction at Level 2 with functional skills in English and maths to join this course.

 

BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business, Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business and Administration, Level 3 NCFE in Business or employment in a business environment.

The course is assessed by means of assignments and two externally assessed exams.

Management Consultants & Business Analysts – Salary: £30,000-£48,800+

Sales Accounts & Business Development Managers – Salary: £24,600-£53,600+

Business & Financial Project Management Professionals – Salary: £51,480-£55,120+

This qualification provides you with the knowledge that is required to work in a range of environments in a business administration role. You will know how to carry out administrative tasks such as managing information and supporting events and will be able to apply your knowledge in a variety of industries and job roles.

This qualification provides you with the knowledge that is required to work in a range of environments in a business administration role. You will know how to carry out administrative tasks such as managing information and supporting events and will be able to apply your knowledge in a variety of industries and job roles.

This qualification aims to provide students with the underpinning knowledge that is needed to work in a range of different environments in a business administration role.

Students will complete five mandatory and two optional units as part of this qualification. These include:

  • Principles of providing administrative services
  • Principles of business document production and information management
  • Understand communication in a business environment
  • Understand employer organisations
  • Understand how to develop working relationships with colleagues
  • Understand how to carry out business administration services
  • Principles of marketing theory

As part of the course a number of assignments will need to be completed for each unit. The assignments will be internally verified by the lecturers and externally verified by the Awarding Body.

Business & Related Associate Professionals N.e.c – Salary: £31,200-£34,320+

This qualification is ideal if you want to develop an understanding of the essential skills required to work successfully in a business environment, and will give you an understanding of business culture and responsibilities. BTEC Level 3 is a vocational qualification that will help you to develop practical knowledge, understanding and skills required to work in the business sector. The course is designed for students who aim to progress to the second year and gain a BTEC Extended Diploma in Business, higher education and ultimately employment in the business sector.

Students progressing onto the second year Extended Diploma will choose either an Accounting or Marketing pathway and attain a qualification equivalent to three A Levels.

This course is for those applying for Business, Business & Accounting or Business & Marketing courses.

Successful completion of this course can be positively included as part of your academic entry requirements for US colleges and universities.

 

You will study:

This qualification provides the knowledge, understanding and employable skills that allow learners to gain business sector experience that will prepare them for further study or training.

The learning programme covers the following core areas in Year 1 followed by either Accounting related units such as Financial Accounting and Management Accounting, or Marketing related units such as Creative Product Promotion and Market Research in Year 2.
