ALL PANTHERS CLUB ACTIVITIES ARE GOVERNED BY A MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

CLUB MANAGEMENT

The Brent Panthers are proudly managed by a dedicated committee of volunteers who bring a wealth of experience and passion to their roles. Our committee members work tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the club, the well-being of our players, and the success of our programmes. We are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and help shape the future of the Brent Panthers.

OUR COMMITTEE

  • Club Chair & Technical Director of Coaching: Nhamo Shire provides strategic guidance and leadership to the committee, ensuring that the club stays true to its mission and values. He is also responsible for developing and implementing our coaching curriculum, as well as mentoring and supporting our coaching staff.
  • General Manager & Treasurer: Catherine Michel oversees the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring that all aspects run smoothly and efficiently. She also manages the club's finances, including budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
  • Club Secretary: Kachy Okwechime is responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing correspondence, and supporting the smooth running of the club's administrative tasks.
  • Team Managers: [Vacant] We are seeking dedicated individuals to support each age group (U12, U14, and U16), facilitate communication between coaches, players, and parents, and organise team events.
  • Grant Funding Officer: [Vacant] We are looking for someone to identify and pursue grant opportunities to support the club's programmes and initiatives.
  • Marketing Officer: [Vacant] We are seeking a creative individual to promote the club and its activities through various channels, helping to raise our profile within the community.
  • Welfare Officer: [Vacant] We are looking for a committed individual to ensure the safety and well-being of all players, coaches, and volunteers involved with the club (this role is temporarily being fulfilled by Kachy Okwechime).
  • Community Outreach Officer: Huda Jawad builds and maintains relationships with local schools, community centres, and other organisations to promote the club and its mission.
  • Volunteer Coordinator: [Vacant] We are looking for someone to manage the recruitment, training, and scheduling of volunteers to support various club activities and events.
  • Facilities and Equipment Manager: [Vacant] We are seeking someone to book facilities for practises and games, as well as order and maintain club equipment, such as basketballs and kits.
  • Player Support Officer: [Vacant] We are looking for a compassionate individual to support our players' mental health, academic progress, and overall well-being, ensuring they have access to resources and guidance both on and off the court.

The Brent Panthers Basketball Club provides exciting opportunities for young players across North-West London to develop new skills and game understanding through our commitment to excellent coaching in the development of accountable and responsible young leaders of tomorrow, on and off the court. We develop better basketball players at our club, but also place a premium on developing better people. We use basketball as powerful teaching tool to help develop character and skills that will help our players in other areas of their lives, while facilitating regular training, feeding the passion to play, improve and compete within a successful team environment.
