PARENTS OFTEN ASK...

The camp is designed for girls aged 7–18 who want to improve their basketball skills, build confidence and enjoy a positive basketball experience in a girls-only environment.

Yes. Players will be grouped appropriately during the camp to ensure that the coaching, drills and games are suitable for their age, experience and stage of development.

The camp has been created to give girls a dedicated environment in which they can learn, play, develop confidence and enjoy basketball alongside other girls. It is designed to be encouraging, inclusive and competitive in the right measure.

Players should arrive in comfortable sports clothing and suitable indoor trainers. They should also bring a refillable water bottle, a packed lunch and any snacks they may need during the day.

Absolutely. Many players join our camps independently. Coaches will help players settle in, meet new teammates and feel included from the start of the day.

Absolutely. LSB Skills Development Camps are designed for every ability level — from complete beginners learning the basics to more advanced players sharpening their game. Each camp is structured to make sure every child learns, progresses, and enjoys basketball at their own pace.

This Girls Only Summer Camp is for girls aged 7–18. Players are grouped by age and ability so that every child is challenged appropriately and supported to improve.

Our camps teach fundamental basketball skills — dribbling, passing, shooting, defence, teamwork, and movement — while developing confidence, focus, and discipline. Players progress through the week, reinforcing skills while learning new techniques and earning recognition as their skills grow. Your child will get better at basketball from our camps but he/she will also strengthen emotional resilience, listening skills, stronger communication skills and learn to work successfully as part of a team.

Yes. Friends are very welcome to attend together. Where practical, we will aim to place players of a similar age and ability within the same group.

Yes. More experienced players will be given opportunities to develop their technique, decision-making and game understanding through appropriately challenging drills and competitive play.

Our team of camp coaches draws from a wide network of fully-qualified, DBS-checked coaches who are committed to giving back to the next generation. Many of our coaches have played or coached at the highest level, with US college and European professional experience and provide invaluable insights and perspectives that benefit our campers on and off the court.

Yes. Our camps are designed as a direct pathway into the Community Basketball League (CBL). Throughout the camp, our senior coaches assess each player’s ability, attitude, and readiness for team basketball. Following the camp, we produce a player evaluation report and—subject to your consent—share this with the CBL to support appropriate team placement. Where suitable opportunities exist, we will actively support your child’s transition into a team environment within the league.
