TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN LONDON SCHOOL OF BASKETBALL PROGRAMS

LSB Development Services Limited, trading as the London School of Basketball (Company Number: 14785044), provides coaching courses, workshops, camps, and training services under the LSB brand. LSB is responsible for the creation, ownership, and commercial oversight of all programs delivered under its name.

The delivery of these services is subcontracted to Gametime Management Ltd (Company Number: 14785340), a licensed, insured, and qualified operations provider who facilitates coaching and program delivery on behalf of LSB.

All coaches and officials appointed to deliver LSB sessions are subcontracted by GTM, who are fully responsible for safeguarding, insurance, and operational execution. GTM holds the following current and active coverage:

  • £10 million Public Liability Insurance
  • £10 million Employers' Liability Insurance
  • £5 million Professional Indemnity Insurance

All appointed coaches and staff have been vetted by GTM with certification and qualifications held on file by GTM and verified by the LSB.

All participants (and their parent/guardian if under 18) must confirm they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions before participation in any LSB program.


1. Definitions

"Parent": A parent or legal guardian responsible for payment and agreeing to this contract.

"LSB": Refers to LSB Development Services Limited, trading as the London School of Basketball.

"GTM": Gametime Management Ltd, subcontracted delivery provider appointed by LSB.

"Course": Any basketball session, camp, clinic, workshop or training event managed by LSB and delivered by GTM.

"Registration Form": The form submitted to enrol a participant.

"Fee": The cost payable for the Course.

"Coach": A subcontracted coach appointed by GTM to deliver LSB sessions.

"Official": A subcontracted referee, table official, or support staff member appointed by GTM.

"Premises": The facility where the Course takes place.

"Pupil": The child or young person attending the Course.

"Terms": The contents of this agreement.

"Act of God": Any natural disaster or event beyond human control affecting delivery.


2. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

2.1. All agreements relating to participation in an LSB program are subject to these Terms.

2.2. No variation is binding unless agreed in writing by LSB.

2.3. Payment of the Fee constitutes acceptance of these Terms by the Parent.

2.4. Parents agree not to copy or reproduce any proprietary element of the Course or deliver competing services using LSB content for a period of 12 months after participation, unless expressly authorised in writing.


3. Fees and Payment

3.1. Fees must be paid in full before participation, unless otherwise agreed.

3.2. Payment is accepted via bank transfer (BACS) or secure online card payment via Stripe.

3.3. Accepted cards include Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.


4. Refund Policy

4.1. Cancellations made 7 days or more before the Course start date:

  • Option A: 100% course credit (valid for 12 months)
  • Option B: 75% refund (25% retained for admin & preparation costs)

4.2. Cancellations within 6 days:

No refunds or credits will be issued, except in the case of injury – see 4.3.

4.3. Injury-related cancellations:

100% course credit issued with medical proof (valid for 12 months)

4.4. Credits:

Credits issued for cancellations are redeemable against any LSB-managed program and remain valid for 12 months from issue.

4.5. Once a Course has begun:

Once a Course has commenced, no refunds or credits will be issued, regardless of attendance.
This includes any missed sessions due to illness, injury, holidays, or change in personal circumstances.

Each participant space is reserved in advance, and operational costs are committed prior to the start of each Course. As such, spaces are non-refundable and non-transferable once the Course has started.

In exceptional cases involving injury (with supporting medical documentation), course credit may be considered under Clause 4.3, but no monetary refunds will be issued.

4.6. Cancellations due to external factors (e.g., extreme weather, government-mandated shutdowns):

No refunds will be issued; however, a full course credit will be applied to a future program (valid for 12 months).

4.7. Approved refunds:

Any refunds approved will be issued within 30 days via BACS. It is the Parent's responsibility to provide accurate account details for the refund to be processed.

4.8. Statutory Cooling-Off Period Exemption:

In accordance with Regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, bookings for LSB sessions, courses, camps, and related events — as leisure activities tied to specific dates — are exempt from the statutory 14-day cooling-off period.


5. Cancellation by LSB

5.1. LSB reserves the right to cancel a Course prior to commencement. A full refund or full credit will be provided, at the Parent's discretion.

5.2. No further compensation will be provided beyond the refund of the Fee.


6. Parent Responsibilities

6.1. By enrolling, the Parent confirms:

  • All registration information is accurate
  • The Pupil is not suffering from a contagious illness or medical issue that prevents safe participation
  • Any change in the Pupil's condition will be communicated to LSB immediately

6.2. Assumption of Risk

Participation in sports carries inherent risks of injury. The Parent acknowledges these and assumes them on behalf of the Pupil.

GTM holds appropriate insurance, but no personal health or travel insurance is provided to participants by LSB.

6.3. Media Consent

LSB may photograph or film sessions for training, promotional, or educational purposes.

If a Parent does not wish their child to appear in any media, they must notify LSB in writing prior to the Course.

LSB will take reasonable steps to honour such requests but cannot guarantee full exclusion from crowd shots or incidental content.


7. Behaviour & Code of Conduct

7.1. LSB reserves the right to exclude any Pupil who behaves in a manner that is disruptive, disrespectful, unsafe, or in violation of the LSB Code of Conduct.

7.2. Disciplinary decisions are made at LSB's discretion, in consultation with GTM as the delivery provider.

7.3. In the event of exclusion, no refund will be issued.


8. Limitation of Liability

8.1. Except in the case of proven negligence, LSB and GTM accept no liability for loss, damage, injury, or delay arising during or from participation in a Course.

8.2. Any claim must be submitted in writing within 90 days of the event.

8.3. The maximum liability of LSB or GTM is capped at the value of the Fee paid.

8.4. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury arising from proven negligence by LSB or its subcontractor GTM.


9. Safeguarding

The London School of Basketball is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people participating in its programs. All staff, coaches, and officials involved in program delivery operate under the LSB Safeguarding Policy, available at:

All delivery is facilitated by Gametime Management Ltd, who formally adopt and implement the LSB Safeguarding Policy and ensure that every appointed coach or official:

  • Has undergone an enhanced DBS check
  • Has completed safeguarding training
  • Is aware of and adheres to LSB's code of conduct and reporting procedures

10. General

10.1. Notices or communications may be sent via email to lsb@london-basketball.com or by post to: LSB Development Services Ltd, 2 Lakeside Drive, London NW10 7FQ

10.2. Failure to enforce any part of these Terms does not waive the right to enforce them in the future.

10.3. By enrolling, the Parent consents to the use of their data in compliance with GDPR for program administration and related communications. Data may be shared securely between LSB and GTM for delivery purposes only.

10.4. Parents may request data deletion or opt out of communications by emailing lsb@london-basketball.com

10.5. These Terms form the full agreement between LSB and the Parent and override all previous versions.

10.6. These Terms are governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
