LSB CAMPS CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS
At LSB Camps, we expect all players to uphold the values of respect, responsibility, and readiness. The following code of conduct is in place to ensure a safe, positive, and productive environment for everyone involved.
Arrive on time for all camp sessions, prepared and ready to work
Wear appropriate playing kit and come with a positive attitude
Listen actively to coaches and teammates at all times
Warm up and cool down properly before and after sessions
Play for enjoyment and personal development — not just to impress others
Learn and play by the rules of the game
Do not argue with coaches or officials — focus your energy on improving
Recognise and applaud good play — encourage your teammates
Be a good sport: win with humility, lose with dignity
Treat everyone with respect — how you would like to be treated
Do not use bad language or behave in a threatening or aggressive way — this will not be tolerated
Cooperate with coaches, teammates, and opponents at all times
Reflect after each session on what you've learned and how to improve
Inform your coach of any injury as soon as possible
Let your coach know if you need to leave early
Always thank officials, coaches, and opponents after games or sessions
If you need to speak to someone in confidence, please speak to your Head Coach or your parent/carer
LSB CAMPS CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS
At LSB Camps, we value the support of parents and carers in creating a positive experience for every player. We ask all parents to follow this code of conduct to help us promote respect, encouragement, and enjoyment across all sessions.
Remember that children participate for their own enjoyment, not yours
Encourage participation — never pressure your child to play or perform
Praise effort and attitude, regardless of the outcome
Applaud all good play, not just your child’s
Never ridicule a child for making a mistake or losing a game
Be a positive role model — children learn best by example
Learn the rules of the game to better support your child’s development
Show appreciation for all coaches, officials, volunteers, and helpers
Reject any use of bad language, aggressive behaviour, or abuse — it has no place in youth sport
Ask yourself how you can help coaches create the most enjoyable and supportive environment possible for all players, not just your own
If you have any questions or concerns, please speak with the Head Coach or a member of staff on site. We’re here to work with you.
LSB CAMPS CODE OF CONDUCT FOR COACHES
At LSB Camps, coaches are role models and leaders. You are trusted not only to teach the game but to help shape the attitudes, values, and wellbeing of every player in your care. The following code of conduct outlines the standards all LSB coaches are expected to uphold:
Set a strong example through your behaviour, language, and leadership
Never use bad language, sarcasm, or demonstrate abusive or negative behaviour
Arrive early, prepared, and with sessions set up to ensure player safety and focus
Remember: children play for enjoyment — winning is only one part of the experience
Stay informed about best coaching practices and principles of child development
Be reasonable in your demands on time, energy, and commitment — young players need balance
Promote and model respect, inclusion, and fair play in every session
Prioritise your players’ wellbeing and development over wins or results
Teach that effort, honesty, and resilience matter more than outcomes
Never ridicule or shout at a player for making a mistake or losing
Ensure all players understand and follow the rules of the game
Give equal time and attention to players of all skill levels
Promote respect for opponents, officials, coaches, and supporters at all times
Always follow professional medical advice when determining if an injured player is fit to return
Take full responsibility for players in your care until they are safely signed out or collected
