LSB BASKETBALL CAMP SET TO RETURN THIS HALF-TERM

LSB Skills Development Camps make a welcome return to Ark Elvin in Wembley, over the upcoming half-term schools holiday, bouncing back with anticipation, energy and excitement.

Continuing the strong re-start to basketball seen across all Hoopstars sessions post-lockdown, young players from across the capital and beyond are invited to join the LSB coaches for a week of fun-filled basketball action.

LSB Skills Development Camps are a lot of fun for young players passionate about basketball and are guaranteed to help players improve fundamental basketball skills, technical understanding of the game and overall health and fitness of every single camper, from the absolute beginner through to the next emerging hoops star!

LSB Camps cover all of the core fundamentals and teach campers how to master the techniques around dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defence, spatial awareness and movement off of the ball.  We welcome early stage beginners and work with them to introduce the basics, through to advanced players who will work with our advanced coaches on refined skills, understanding and more complex techniques.

Our camps also provide plenty of opportunities for players to test their newly acquired skills in exciting, organised NBA-styled league games!  Represent your favourite team in real, live-action, 5-on-5 officiated games, where you are the star!  Compete for the league title and earn your place on the Camp All-Star team!  Fantastic prizes to be won for players of all abilities!

LSB Camps are not just about rewarding talented players. We encourage and help develop winning characteristics in young people that contribute to well-balanced, positive, well-behaved 'champions' on and off the court.  Respect, good work-ethic, listening & communication skills, team-work, goal-setting and self-empowerment are all embedded into our coaching ethos at our camps, delivered through engaging, fun-filled session plans by fully-qualified, DBS certified, energetic coaches who are passionate about passing on the 'magic' of basketball  to the next generation.

Our camps are for both boys and girls across multiple age groups from 7-18 year olds.  We cater to a wide age range and mix of abilities by splitting participants into age and skills-appropriate groups, then provide focused coaching for each group that develops skills at the right pace and level for every single camper.

Our coaches pride themselves at being the best they can be so we can provide each and every single participant with the tools they need to get better and feature some of the best development coaches in the city, alongside featured special guests on hand to make each LSB camp a truly memorable experience.

We celebrate the success of progress with all of our participants with a range of awards and prizes at the end of the week and provide positive feedback to ensure all of the hard work and effort of each child is recognised and encouraged to carry forward post-camp.

The Community Basketball League (CBL) is the most coveted grassroots basketball competition in London with over 2,000 registered players representing North, East, West, and South London. Our league provides organised competitions and playing opportunities for a wide range of abilities from early-stage beginners through to the future stars of our game!  We strive to drive excitement and character-building playing experiences for young people across our league, while promoting the values of positive sports competition so our players develop lifelong healthy habits and an appreciation and love of the game.
