LSB International Camps — Booking Terms & Conditions
LSB International Camps

Booking Terms & Conditions

Version: 1 June 2026 International camps, residential programmes & overseas tours

These Terms & Conditions apply to international basketball camps, residential programmes, tours and related overseas activities promoted, organised or sold under the LSB International Camps brand. Please read them carefully before completing a booking.

By submitting a booking form or making any payment, the person completing the booking confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions on their own behalf and, where applicable, on behalf of the participating player.

Where the Participant is under the age of 18, the booking must be completed by a parent or legal guardian with authority to accept these Terms & Conditions and provide the required permissions.

1Who You Are Booking With

Your booking is made with:

LSB Coaching & Technical Education Limited
trading as LSB International Camps
Company number: 16598499
Registered office: 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX
Email: camps@london-basketball.com

In these Terms & Conditions, this organisation is referred to as "LSB", "we", "us" or "our".

The person completing the booking is referred to as the "Booking Customer".

The player attending the international camp or programme is referred to as the "Participant".

2The Camp Booking Summary

Each international camp will have a separate booking page, confirmation email or Camp Booking Summary setting out the specific details of that programme.

These details may include:

  • the camp name;
  • the destination;
  • the venue;
  • the programme dates;
  • the age range;
  • the programme format;
  • the services included in the camp fee;
  • any services not included in the camp fee;
  • the total price;
  • the deposit amount;
  • the balance-payment deadline;
  • the cancellation schedule;
  • the minimum number of Participants required;
  • the overseas delivery partner;
  • accommodation details;
  • arrival, departure and Participant-handover arrangements;
  • airport-transfer arrangements;
  • any insurance requirements; and
  • any destination-specific requirements.

The relevant booking page, Camp Booking Summary and booking confirmation form part of the agreement between LSB and the Booking Customer.

Where there is any inconsistency between these general Terms & Conditions and the Camp Booking Summary, the Camp Booking Summary will apply to the extent of that inconsistency, except where this would reduce or restrict any statutory rights.

3Overseas Delivery Partners

International camps may be delivered partly or wholly by an appointed overseas delivery partner.

Depending on the programme, this may include an overseas basketball academy, sports club, venue operator, accommodation provider, transport provider, catering provider, coaching team, medical provider or other local service provider.

The principal overseas delivery partner will be identified on the relevant booking page or Camp Booking Summary.

LSB may appoint and work with third-party delivery partners to provide the services included in the programme. Participants must comply with the reasonable operational, safety, safeguarding, accommodation and behaviour rules of LSB and its appointed delivery partners throughout the programme.

LSB may appoint alternative coaches, venues, accommodation providers or service providers where reasonably necessary, provided that the overall standard and core purpose of the programme are not materially reduced.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the attendance of any particular coach, player, scout, club representative or guest is not guaranteed.

The use of an overseas delivery partner does not remove or restrict any legal responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

4Package-Travel Rights

Some LSB International Camps may fall within the scope of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

Where those regulations apply:

  • the Booking Customer and Participant will benefit from the applicable statutory protections;
  • LSB will provide any legally required pre-contract information;
  • details of any applicable financial or insolvency protection will be provided separately;
  • LSB will be responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in the booking, regardless of whether those services are performed directly by LSB or by an appointed third-party service provider; and
  • these Terms & Conditions will be interpreted consistently with those regulations.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or reduce any statutory rights.

5Making a Booking

A booking is not secured until:

  • the required booking form has been completed;
  • the required deposit or full payment has been received;
  • the Participant satisfies the advertised eligibility requirements; and
  • LSB has issued written confirmation of the booking.

LSB may decline a booking before confirmation where:

  • the programme is full;
  • the Participant does not satisfy the stated age or eligibility requirements;
  • the programme is not suitable for the Participant;
  • relevant medical, safeguarding or support information has not been provided;
  • the required payment has not been received; or
  • LSB reasonably considers that accepting the booking would create a material safety, safeguarding or operational concern.
6Participant Eligibility and Suitability

The Booking Customer must ensure that the Participant:

  • satisfies the advertised age requirements;
  • is physically and medically able to participate safely;
  • is able to follow reasonable instructions;
  • is suitable for an overseas residential environment, where applicable;
  • has the maturity required for the programme;
  • has provided accurate medical and emergency-contact information; and
  • has disclosed any additional support requirements that may reasonably affect participation.

International Camps may be designed for particular levels of experience or ability. LSB may contact the Booking Customer to clarify whether a programme is suitable for the Participant.

Participation in an LSB International Camp does not guarantee selection, recruitment, a scholarship, a trial, progression to another programme or any particular sporting outcome.

7What Is Included

The services included in the camp fee will be listed on the relevant booking page or Camp Booking Summary.

Depending on the programme, the fee may include:

  • basketball coaching;
  • organised training activities;
  • venue access;
  • residential accommodation;
  • meals;
  • local transfers;
  • supervision;
  • selected excursions;
  • camp administration;
  • kit or merchandise; and
  • other services expressly listed as included.

Only services expressly stated as included form part of the booking.

8What Is Not Included

Unless expressly stated otherwise on the relevant booking page or Camp Booking Summary, the camp fee does not include:

  • flights or travel between the United Kingdom and the destination;
  • travel insurance;
  • passports;
  • visas;
  • travel authorisations;
  • entry-document costs;
  • personal spending money;
  • optional activities;
  • additional meals, refreshments or purchases;
  • medical-treatment costs;
  • prescription costs;
  • additional airport transfers;
  • baggage fees;
  • independently booked accommodation;
  • additional accommodation caused by travel disruption;
  • costs caused by late arrival or missed travel connections; or
  • any service not expressly listed as included.

The Booking Customer is responsible for reviewing the included and excluded services before completing the booking.

9Flights and Independent Travel Arrangements

Unless the Camp Booking Summary expressly states otherwise, flights are not sold, arranged or included by LSB.

The Booking Customer is responsible for arranging suitable flights and ensuring that the Participant arrives at the designated meeting point or handover location at the required time.

Flights and other non-refundable travel arrangements should not be booked until LSB has confirmed that the camp will proceed and has provided the relevant travel guidance.

LSB is not responsible for losses arising from flights, accommodation or other services booked independently with third parties, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where airport transfers are included, the Booking Customer must select travel arrangements that are compatible with the published transfer times.

The Booking Customer will be responsible for reasonable additional costs arising from incompatible flight times, missed flights, late arrivals, missed transfers or other independently arranged travel disruption.

10Passports, Visas and Entry Requirements

The Booking Customer is responsible for ensuring that the Participant:

  • holds a valid passport;
  • satisfies the passport-validity requirements for the destination;
  • has any required visa or travel authorisation;
  • complies with immigration and customs requirements;
  • meets any health-entry requirements;
  • travels with any required parental-consent documentation; and
  • carries all necessary travel documents.

The Booking Customer should review current official travel guidance for the destination before booking and again before departure.

Where a Participant is unable to travel because the required documentation or permissions have not been obtained, the Participant-cancellation terms will apply.

11Parental Authority and Consent

Where the Participant is under the age of 18, the Booking Customer confirms that they have the legal authority to:

  • book the Participant onto the programme;
  • accept these Terms & Conditions;
  • authorise the Participant to travel and stay overseas;
  • provide medical and emergency-contact information;
  • give the relevant permissions;
  • nominate the adults authorised to drop off or collect the Participant; and
  • authorise emergency medical treatment where reasonably necessary.

The Booking Customer must provide any additional parental-consent documentation required for international travel.

12Participant Handover and Collection

LSB's responsibility for the Participant begins and ends at the formal handover points stated in the Camp Booking Summary or travel guidance.

The Booking Customer must ensure that:

  • the Participant arrives on time;
  • the Participant is handed over in accordance with the stated arrangements;
  • all collection details are accurate;
  • any authorised-person changes are notified promptly in writing; and
  • the Participant is collected at the agreed time and location.

Where a Participant is not collected as agreed, the Booking Customer will be responsible for any reasonable additional supervision, accommodation, transport or administrative costs incurred.

13Travel Insurance Is Compulsory
Every Participant must hold appropriate travel insurance for the full duration of the trip.

The policy must be suitable for the destination and should include appropriate cover for:

  • organised basketball training;
  • sporting activities;
  • emergency medical treatment;
  • hospitalisation;
  • medical evacuation;
  • repatriation;
  • trip cancellation;
  • trip curtailment;
  • travel delay;
  • personal belongings;
  • personal liability;
  • pre-existing medical conditions, where applicable; and
  • any additional activities listed in the Camp Booking Summary.

The Booking Customer is responsible for checking the policy terms carefully and ensuring that the cover is appropriate.

LSB may request evidence of insurance before departure.

Where satisfactory evidence of insurance is not provided by the stated deadline, LSB may refuse participation or cancel the Participant's place. The Participant-cancellation terms will apply, subject to applicable law.

14Medical Information

The Booking Customer must provide complete and accurate medical information when booking.

This includes any relevant:

  • allergy;
  • injury;
  • medical condition;
  • illness;
  • medication;
  • dietary requirement;
  • accessibility requirement;
  • behavioural requirement;
  • emotional-support requirement; or
  • other matter that may reasonably affect the Participant's health, welfare or safe participation.

The Booking Customer must notify LSB promptly if any relevant information changes before departure or during the programme.

Failure to disclose relevant information may result in the Participant being unable to attend or continue the programme.

15First Aid, Medication and Emergency Treatment

LSB and its appointed delivery partners will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate first-aid arrangements during the programme.

The Booking Customer authorises LSB and its appointed delivery partners to:

  • administer appropriate first aid;
  • seek medical advice;
  • arrange emergency medical assistance;
  • transport the Participant to a suitable medical facility; and
  • authorise urgent treatment where reasonably necessary and where the Booking Customer cannot be contacted promptly.

Any non-prescription or prescription medication will only be administered in accordance with the completed medical-consent form, the medication instructions supplied by the Booking Customer or appropriate medical advice.

The Booking Customer is responsible for medical-treatment costs, prescription costs, additional travel costs and related expenses, subject to any recovery available through the Participant's travel-insurance policy.

16Safety and Inherent Sporting Risk

Basketball training, physical activity, travel and residential programmes involve inherent risks.

These may include accident, injury, illness and loss of or damage to personal property.

The Booking Customer and Participant acknowledge these inherent risks and agree that the Participant will:

  • follow reasonable safety instructions;
  • participate responsibly;
  • use equipment appropriately;
  • disclose injuries or illness promptly;
  • avoid any activity they reasonably believe they are not fit to undertake; and
  • comply with the reasonable instructions of appointed staff.

LSB and its appointed delivery partners will take reasonable steps to operate the programme safely and with appropriate care and skill.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
17Behaviour and Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully throughout the programme.

Participants must follow the reasonable instructions of LSB, its appointed delivery partners, coaches, supervisors, venue staff and accommodation staff.

Serious or repeated misconduct may include:

  • violence;
  • threats;
  • bullying;
  • harassment;
  • discriminatory behaviour;
  • abusive or intimidating conduct;
  • theft;
  • deliberate damage;
  • smoking;
  • vaping;
  • alcohol use;
  • illegal-drug use;
  • possession of prohibited items;
  • leaving the programme or accommodation without permission;
  • serious disregard for curfews;
  • repeated refusal to follow reasonable instructions;
  • behaviour that places another person at risk; or
  • conduct that materially disrupts the programme.

LSB may take reasonable disciplinary action where necessary. This may include:

  • issuing a warning;
  • restricting participation in an activity;
  • contacting the Booking Customer;
  • requiring the Booking Customer to arrange collection; or
  • requiring the Participant to leave the programme.

Where a Participant is required to leave due to serious or repeated misconduct, the Booking Customer will be responsible for arranging and funding the Participant's safe collection, supervision, additional accommodation and return travel.

Where appropriate, LSB will take reasonable steps to support the safe return arrangements.

Any refund will be limited to amounts recoverable after taking account of the costs, commitments and losses arising from the Participant's removal, subject to applicable law.

18Accommodation Rules

Where accommodation is included, the Participant must:

  • respect the accommodation provider's rules;
  • comply with curfews;
  • remain in the designated accommodation unless permission has been given;
  • behave respectfully towards staff, other guests and Participants;
  • avoid excessive noise or disruption;
  • take reasonable care of the room and facilities; and
  • report any damage promptly.

The Booking Customer may be responsible for the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing property deliberately or negligently damaged by the Participant, excluding ordinary wear and tear.

19Payments, Deposits and Balance Deadlines

The total price, deposit amount and balance-payment deadline will be stated on the relevant booking page or Camp Booking Summary.

A booking is not secured until the required deposit or full payment has been received and LSB has issued written confirmation.

A deposit is treated as a part-payment towards the total camp fee.

The remaining balance must be paid by the published deadline.

Where a balance remains unpaid after the deadline, LSB may issue a written reminder and require payment within a stated timeframe.

Where payment is not received, LSB may cancel the booking. The Participant-cancellation charges will apply, subject to applicable law.

20Cancellation by the Booking Customer

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to camps@london-basketball.com.

International Camps involve advance commitments to overseas delivery partners, accommodation providers and other suppliers. Cancellation charges may therefore apply.

Unless a different cancellation schedule is stated on the relevant booking page or Camp Booking Summary, the following standard cancellation charges will apply:

Written notice received before the programme start dateStandard cancellation charge
More than 60 days before the programmeDeposit paid
31–60 days before the programme50% of the total camp fee
15–30 days before the programme75% of the total camp fee
14 days or fewer before the programme100% of the total camp fee
Failure to attend without notice100% of the total camp fee

Where applicable law requires a lower cancellation charge, the charge will be reduced accordingly.

Where the booking qualifies as a package under applicable law, any termination fee will be appropriate and justifiable, taking account of the timing of the cancellation, expected cost savings and any income reasonably obtained by reallocating the cancelled place.

LSB will take reasonable steps to reduce its losses, including attempting to resell a cancelled place where reasonably practicable.

The Booking Customer should obtain suitable travel-insurance cover promptly after booking so that eligible cancellation costs may be claimed from the insurer.
21Cooling-Off Period

Bookings relate to leisure services, accommodation or other arrangements provided on specific dates or during a specific period.

A standard 14-day cooling-off right will not normally apply to these bookings.

The cancellation terms set out in these Terms & Conditions therefore apply from the point at which the booking is confirmed, subject to any statutory rights.

22Changes and Transfers Requested by the Booking Customer

Requests to amend a booking must be submitted in writing to camps@london-basketball.com.

LSB will consider reasonable requests where operationally possible.

The Booking Customer will be responsible for any reasonable supplier charges or administrative costs arising from an amendment.

Where applicable law permits a booking to be transferred to another suitable Participant, reasonable written notice must be provided.

The replacement Participant must:

  • satisfy the eligibility requirements;
  • complete the required forms;
  • provide the required medical information;
  • provide evidence of insurance where requested; and
  • satisfy all travel-document requirements.

Any transfer charge will reflect the reasonable costs arising from the change.

23Minor Changes Made by LSB

LSB may make reasonable minor changes to:

  • programme timetables;
  • training groups;
  • coaching personnel;
  • venue arrangements;
  • accommodation arrangements;
  • meal arrangements;
  • transport arrangements; or
  • activities.

This may be necessary for operational, safety or delivery reasons.

Where a change is minor and does not materially reduce the overall standard or core purpose of the programme, LSB will notify the Booking Customer where reasonably practicable.

24Significant Changes Made by LSB

Where LSB is required to make a significant change to a material part of the booking before departure, LSB will notify the Booking Customer promptly.

Where required by applicable law, the Booking Customer will be offered the appropriate options. These may include:

  • accepting the revised arrangements;
  • accepting a suitable alternative arrangement where available; or
  • cancelling the booking and receiving the applicable refund.
25Cancellation by LSB

LSB may cancel a programme where:

  • the required minimum number of Participants is not reached;
  • the overseas delivery partner is unable to deliver the programme;
  • the venue or accommodation becomes unavailable;
  • safety or safeguarding concerns arise;
  • circumstances outside LSB's reasonable control prevent delivery; or
  • cancellation is reasonably necessary for operational reasons.

Where LSB cancels a programme, the Booking Customer will be notified promptly.

The Booking Customer will receive the refund, alternative arrangements or other remedies required by applicable law.

Where a minimum number of Participants applies, the relevant booking page or Camp Booking Summary will state:

  • the minimum number required; and
  • the deadline by which LSB may cancel the programme if the minimum number is not reached.

LSB is not responsible for separately booked flights, accommodation or other independently arranged services, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

The Booking Customer should ensure that suitable travel-insurance cover is in place.

26Unavoidable and Extraordinary Circumstances

Circumstances outside LSB's reasonable control may include:

  • government restrictions;
  • border closures;
  • significant public-health emergencies;
  • natural disasters;
  • severe weather;
  • war;
  • civil unrest;
  • terrorism;
  • serious security incidents;
  • venue closure;
  • significant transport disruption;
  • industrial action; or
  • other unavoidable and extraordinary events.

Where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances significantly affect the performance of the programme, LSB will provide the remedies required by applicable law.

Where a full refund is not required by law, LSB may offer an appropriate alternative, credit or refund after taking account of recoverable and irrecoverable costs, provided that any deduction is fair, transparent and lawful.

Where the programme qualifies as a package under applicable law, the Booking Customer may have additional statutory cancellation rights where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the destination or in its immediate vicinity and significantly affect the programme or the carriage of passengers to the destination.

27Personal Property

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings.

LSB recommends that Participants:

  • avoid bringing unnecessary valuable items;
  • label essential belongings;
  • keep money and valuables secure; and
  • report any loss or theft promptly.

LSB is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property unless caused by negligence or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Any loss or theft should be reported promptly to the programme team and, where appropriate, to the local authorities and the Participant's insurer.

28Photography, Video and Media Consent

LSB and its appointed delivery partners may capture photography or video during the programme for operational, educational, safeguarding, promotional or marketing purposes.

Promotional use of an identifiable image, video or recording of the Participant will be managed in accordance with the permissions selected by the Booking Customer on the booking form or media-consent form.

Media consent is optional and is not a condition of participation.

Where consent is withheld or withdrawn, LSB will take reasonable steps to respect that decision in future promotional use.

Withdrawal of consent cannot always apply retrospectively to material that has already been lawfully published, printed, distributed or incorporated into completed content.

29Data Protection and Information Sharing

LSB will process personal information in accordance with applicable data-protection law and its Privacy Notice.

Personal information may be shared with appointed delivery partners, accommodation providers, transport providers, medical providers, insurers and other relevant organisations where reasonably necessary to:

  • administer the booking;
  • deliver the programme;
  • protect the Participant's welfare;
  • respond to an emergency;
  • meet legal obligations; or
  • manage a legitimate operational requirement.

This may include sharing relevant information with organisations outside the United Kingdom.

Medical and health information will only be processed and shared where there is an appropriate lawful basis and where necessary for the relevant purpose.

The Booking Customer must review the applicable Privacy Notice before completing the booking.

Optional marketing communications will only be sent in accordance with the preferences selected by the Booking Customer. The Booking Customer may unsubscribe from optional marketing communications at any time.

30Liability

LSB will perform its services with reasonable care and skill.

LSB is not responsible for losses that:

  • were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made;
  • arise from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the Booking Customer;
  • result from the Participant's actions;
  • arise from services booked independently with third parties;
  • result from a failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions; or
  • are caused by circumstances outside LSB's reasonable control,

except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • breach of any statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded; or
  • any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any additional rights available where the programme qualifies as a package under applicable law.

31Complaints and Support

Any concern arising during the programme should be reported promptly to the designated programme lead so that reasonable steps can be taken to resolve the matter.

After the programme, complaints should be submitted in writing to camps@london-basketball.com.

Please include:

  • the Participant's name;
  • the programme name;
  • the programme dates;
  • a clear description of the issue; and
  • any supporting evidence.

Submitting a complaint promptly will help LSB investigate effectively. This does not affect any statutory rights.

32Validity of These Terms

If any part of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

Any failure or delay by LSB to exercise a right under these Terms & Conditions does not waive that right.

These Terms & Conditions, together with the relevant:

  • booking page;
  • Camp Booking Summary;
  • booking form;
  • booking confirmation;
  • Privacy Notice; and
  • any additional documents expressly incorporated into the booking,

form the agreement between LSB and the Booking Customer.

No variation will apply unless confirmed in writing by LSB.

33Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where the Booking Customer is entitled to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.

Nothing in this clause limits any mandatory consumer rights.
