The LSB has partnered with Haringey 6th Form College to deliver the LSB Haringey Basketball Academy for 16-19 year old elite level players from across the capital.  Led by former GB International and British Basketball champion, Perry Lawson, the Academy is geared towards developing elite level players who aspire to reach the next level.

Lawson is one of Britain's most successful professional basketball players of all time, impressively winning 10 BBL trophies over an 11 year career - which also also saw him play over in America on scholarship and represent his country on numerous occasions.  He most recently ran the point guard position for the London Lions playing in front of thousands of fans at the Olympic Park.

3388215_1_S"I've enjoyed a successful and rewarding playing career that has taken me all over the world and given me experiences I'll always treasure.  Representing my country as as full international and winning multiple championships at the top level in this country are always going to be highlights for me as a player, but I've had a growing sense of wanting to give back to the next generation over the past few years and have always been a coach at heart.  Now I've got all my coaching qualifications I'm ready to build something special in Haringey in partnership with the college, and establish the academy as a nationally recognised home for elite player development.  I'm committed to building the next generation of British basketball stars, right here in the heart of Haringey"
